What’s up! I wanted to hop on here and share a story with my supporters of a couple life-saving miracles that have happened recently. Both me and my brother had separate near-death experiences and both were saved by a miracle!
“The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.”
This verse in Psalms is what comes to mind when I think about all the times God has protected me from deadly situations, or even spiritual warfare. When I was a child I remember being in my backyard and I looked behind me at a tree and I saw what I believe to be my guardian angel. I turn to tell my mom to look and my angel was gone! It was one of my first memories.
I had never really thought of the idea of guardian angels until recently when I almost got in a head on collision with a huge truck ( I drive a small Camry ). It made me think about how all the ways God has protected me from the very beginning.
When I was an infant I had a near death experience when I had an allergic reaction to a vaccine. It sent me into a seizure that was supposed to kill me or cause brain damage. But God protected me. As I continued my life I was very oblivious to danger, and I’m sure there are countless experiences that could have killed me but the Lord had an angel by my side to protect me.
Right before I graduated I had been working late at my job, it was around 11pm when I finally got on the road to go back home. I turned on a tight curve, coming up to my turn lane. A large truck came head on into my lane (thinking it was a one way road) and I saw the flash of his headlights and the other two cars in front of him rush past me. I truly mean it when I say my life flashed before my eyes, I was holding my steering wheel with my mouth wide open in shock. By the miracle of Jesus, the truck somehow when it was within 10 feet of colliding in me, swerved IN BETWEEN two cars. There was no wreck and no one hurt. I sat at the red light and I started to cry and all I could manage to say is ” I almost died,” That night I prayed all the way home, and the days to come I pray for protection every time I go into my car.
Not even two weeks later, my brother was coming in town for my graduation. He lives 20 hours away and decided to drive his brand new mustang all the way to home. From his account, he was going along the highway and his car brought up an error message. His acceleration stopped working, and almost every system electrically was malfunctioning. He quickly went to the nearest mechanic and when they looked at it, there was nothing wrong with the car, it was just an unexplainable mistake. But then they told him “But you need your tire changed” in confusion he asked why. It turns out there was a HOLE in his tire, an entire chuck of rubber was gone, exposing the mesh underneath. If that tire had popped, they said his car would have rolled and killed him. The mesh top of a mustang would not have protected him from a crash like that.
My brother explained how it was a miracle that his car had this mysterious electrical error that caused him to go to a mechanic to realize the issue with his tire. Crazy right? God is working behind the scenes like the crew of a musical protecting and intricately using experiences to not only keep us alive but to keep us flourishing.
God is so good isn’t he?! I can’t believe I have been blessed with so much protection for me and my family my entire life. I hope this story inspires you to pray a prayer of thanks to God for protecting you every day.
