Hi friends and family!! It's Chloe! I am so excited that tomorrow is my missions trip. I wanted to run through some trip details, prayer requests and updates! 

Above is my finished packing before I loaded it up in my camping backpack! 

Trip Details:

Tomorrow morning early I fly out to Georgia for the 5 day training camp! We will be living as a team in the building they have there in our sleeping bags but thankfully with a roof under our head. This is meant to simulate the conditions of the trip. We will be sleeping on the floor at the host home in Nicoya, Costa Rica when we arrive June 2nd-June 30th.

During this camp we will be preparing our hearts and souls for the mission field with team bonding, worship and bible study time. This will be very similar to the Boot Camp I did last summer in preparation for The World Race: Gap Year. (Checkout the blog post under My Travels!)

I will be participating in a digital detox and focus on being completely absorbed into the culture around me! I will have my phone for an offline map of Costa Rica and music for the plane etc. :)

I will use it once a week if/when WIFI is available to send an update on this blog page.

Thankfully we will have access to electricity, showers, and restrooms! The main focus of this trip is manual labor, outreach, and working with the youth! I am unbelievably thrilled to be going!

Prayer Requests:

Prayers for...

a safe trip, successful team bonding, spiritual protection from the enemy, casting of fear and anxiety, my home and kitten being safe while I'm away, growth within this trip, safe travels for all of my team arriving at camp tomorrow, and finally that my mind can focus on the present instead of the past!

Life Updates/Final Words:

It's been a long year leading up to this trip. I was such a different person a year ago and I'm glad I listened to The Holy Spirit when I felt the conviction to stay home from the World Race: Gap Year, and instead go to this Semesters trip with AIM. I am learning every step of the way on who Yahweh is and why he sent down his son Yeshua to this world. I am working through a lot of emotional baggage from my life thus far and trying to look forward. 

The Holy Spirit has convicted me of a lot of things lately and ways I need to change my heart and actions towards others. It's been a difficult year as much as it has been a blessing. Through my faith in Yeshua I can look forward to a hopefully future that he has laid out. I am ready to be humbled and grow in my faith.
