Hey friends and family :)

Yes I am alive and well- in fact thriving. I have been going through this Kingdom Journey with my squad mates. It’s been a very humbling and exciting adventure.

Ever since stepping into the country of Costa Rica I have had an overwhelming amount of surprising experiences. Let me walk you through some of them:

We started our journey in the San José aeropuerto in Costa Rica. As I stood in line with my luggage weighing down on my shoulders in customs I felt so exhausted. It was hard traveling and we all had been waiting for two hours now. So I pulled out my ukulele and me and my squad begin to sing songs of praise to Yahweh. It was beautiful and it touched so many people. Instantly the line moved forward so quickly that we were out of customs within five minutes.

The following day consisted of traveling to a cute little hostel in San José followed by a five hour bus ride just soaking in the city. Ever since arriving on our ministry site (close to Nicoya) we have been rocking and rolling. Unfortunately I came over with a viral infection that put me in bed the first few days. But God still met me where I was. I’ve had some extreme inner healing happening in my heart throughout this trip.

Some highlights I’ve had is sweet hugs and smiles from the Pastors family and friends, even though we can’t speak very well to each other because of the language barrier. It’s been so fun making food, singing, and playing with them. It’s been so beautiful I cannot put it into words.

We got an adventure day which is our opportunity to explore the country. I got to swim in the ocean and learn to surf for the very first time. It was so much fun catching waves, sea shell hunting, walking the sand, and spending time with my impromptu family.

We’ve gotten to do a lot of relational building so far with the community and church, along with serving the community with volunteer work and home visits. What I love about Costa Rica is how normal it is to be openly welcomed into your home with café and snacks. I’ve gotten to meet and pray for some of the most sweet people due to their open hospitality.

Also it’s so normal to see iguanas, monkeys, and hundreds of kinds of fruit trees EVERYWHERE. Not to mention the bugs… ha ha… It’s actually quite scary. We saw a rhino beetle in OUR ROOM. Google it- it’s freaky large.

All of these things are fun and good and I love exploring this crazy beautiful country. However, the most important part is what Yahweh has been doing to change and mold this group. I’ve already witnessed the extreme talent of my squad, prophetic prayer, and the Holy Spirit move so strong within each person.

It’s been such a safe space here and I’ve loved getting to see the pure heart in each person. The testimonies and Day-to-Day way we live out ministry is so beautiful to see.

We just hit the halfway mark of this trip and I’m so ready for Yahweh to begin the next stage.

Thanks for checking in!

Lots of love,

Chloe Morales
